Hosted exclusively at the Stettler Recreation Centre

East Central Hockey Development was founded in 2011 with our hockey school that has now served over 2100+ participants in our first 13 years. We are a committed group of individuals with a huge passion for the development of hockey players, people, and athletes in general. We will continue to cover all the fundamentals in skill development and power-skating with professional instruction.

We also host a 3 on 3 weekend tournament for both males and females (ages 9+). Players will get to have fun and compete in full ice games.

SHOOTING CLINICS

AGES 9-14

Focus on the proper techniques for all different types of shots.

CHECKING CLINIC

AGES 9-14

Teaches players the progression from angling to contact.  We teach both the defensive side of checking and how to evade a check on the offensive side.

DEFENCE SPECIFIC CLINIC

AGES 9-14

Focus Includes:
  • Positional responsibility and game play awareness
  • Defensive concepts and strategies
  • Explosive skating, agility and lateral mobility
  • Puck management, passing and pass selection
  • Shooting techniques and shot selection

OUR 3 DAY 3ON3 TOURNAMENT
The 3 on 3 tournament offers an opportunity for players to have fun and to compete on a full ice surface. This high tempo style of hockey will help all participants prepare for the upcoming winter hockey season.
